On Monday 19th September we kicked off a week-long #REDIHACK hackathon for SRV. Our aim is to hatch fresh ideas and innovations that interconnect the services of both the REDI shopping centre, due to open in the autumn of 2018, and its upcoming adjacent residential tower buildings.
Hackathons are often organized to solve an issue with customer satisfaction or to improve on a current business case. Contrary to this, #REDIHACK is about finding partners for building the future of everyday life.
- The hackathon concept is an excellent way of bringing Finland's leading start-ups, shopping centre tenants, personnel and investors together to consider the future of services and living, says the CEO of SRV, Juha Pekka Ojala.
Most startups want to change the world. Doing it with a publicly listed major construction company is not a bad idea.
On #REDIHACK, the attending startups can have a powerful stance on what the next big living and commercial center in Helsinki could offer its customers and residents. The attending startups could come up with the next standards for living and shopping - and SRV could implement them on REDI, becoming an even brighter forerunner of service- and future-oriented construction.
These are the stories we enjoy co-writing.
